Family-Placed Death Notice
KIRKLAND, Joseph, Sr. Homegoing service for Mr. Joseph Buford Kirkland Sr. (Broadway) will be held Thursday, December 23, 2010, 1:00 PM, at Greater Moses Chapel Baptist Church, 890 Boulevard SE. Rev. Johnny L. Mayweather, Pastor, officiating. Interment Lincoln. He leaves to cherish his memory four sons, Joseph Bernard Kirkland (Renita), Cyril Kirkland, Demetrius Kirkland and Derrick Kirkland; daughter, Carlitha; brother, Cleosie Kirkland; sisters, Mattie Pearl Rhodes and Juanita Epps; daughter-in-law, Joyce Ellis Godson, Michael Daughtery (Patricia); twelve grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. The cortege will assemble at the residence at Noon. The family will receive friends tonight from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at 2021 Shirley St. SW. Herschel Thornton Mortuary, 3346 M.L.
