Hello. This is a continuation of a previous entry. Lydia's passing has effected me more than I realized and cannot effectively explain. We were pals for a brief and intense time Sophmore year. They were several weekends and always w/ guys probably from Chicago. One at her home with her warm welcoming parents, casual folks, good food, coffee, and Lydia talking non-stop. Another at the home of a former classmate then married, PB&J sandwiches w/ tomato soup, maybe a steak cooked by someone certainly not me, and Lydia talking non-stop. Lydia enriched my life at that fragile time in my life and for that I'm grateful. But as life happened, even as college juniors, we each moved on to the next phase. Wishing you light and blessing, Lydia. ~ Kj Rink, Maryville College, Class of 1967

Lydia and I began our friendship at Home Depot when I commented on her "adorable hat!" She was one of the most generous people I have ever met. I still get compliments every time I wear the pink rain jacket and purple overalls she gifted me. She was fierce in loyalty and loved her family, German Shepherds, flowers, dark chocolate, cough drops, and America. I will miss her sassy spirit, and even now I smile when I remember how cute she looked in her garden apron and rain boots!

So sad to learn of Lydia's passing. We were at Villa together...long time ago. Did truly enjoy seeing her at reunions. She was a true treasure.
Deepest sympathy,

Pat, McCarroll Family, Kathy, and Family:
We are so sad to find out the Lydia has passed away. What a wonderful woman and dear friend she was. Lydia was a treasure and always full of energy. I knew Lydia closely at Villa and Maryville. We loved her dearly. A light has gone off for all of us who knew Lydia. We are sure she is in heaven with the angels. We are praying for your family during this very difficult time. We will mail a Mass card for the repose of Lydia's soul.
