Family-Placed Death Notice

MICHAEL S. HUFF Michael S. Huff, a long-time Marietta attorney, died Monday, April 10, 2006 at the age of 66. Though he loved the practiced of law, he was devoted to his family. He leaves a wife, Gail, son, Michael Huff, Jr., daughter, Ginger and Eddie Felts, daughter, Christy Cooper, son, Jay Kirby, and grandchildren, Zachary Rollins, Haley Keelin, and Nathan Felts. Mike was the son of the late Parks A. and Helen Winn Huff of Cobb County. His mother, was the first woman to pratice law in Marietta. His father worked in law, enforcement. Mike was the third of six children, two sisters and three brothers: Pat Huff Taylor of Marietta, Fred and Sue Huff of Kennesaw, Helen Huff of Kennesaw, Sam Huff and Diane Woods of Kennesaw and John and Beth Huff of Nashville, Tennessee. Mike graduated from Marietta High School and attended the University of Georgia. He obtained a law degree from John Marshall Law School and practiced law in Marietta for twenty-nine years. He belonged to the American Bar Association and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. He was an active participant in the Cobb County Association of Retarded Citizens. Mike was an adventurer and and an outdoorsman. He sky dived, scuba dived, flew an airplane boated, hunted and fished. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 13th at 11 AM at the First United Methodist Church of Marietta, 56 Whitlock Avenue, Marietta, with Rev. Sam A. Storey, Sr. and Brother, Zachary Rollins officiating. Burial will follow at Cheatham Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 12th from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
