Family-Placed Death Notice
MARTIN, Michael R. Michael R. Martin, Sr. of Stockbridge passed away July 16, 2010. Funeral services will be held (today) Sunday, July 18, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Thomas L. Scroggs Funeral Directors with interment to follow at Tanner's Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Brandon Smith will officiate. Michael is survived by his wife, Carol Martin; mother, Sue Martin, Canton; daughters, Diana Chastain, McDonough, Holly Hood, Ft. Campbell, KY, Katie Robinson, Stockbridge; sons, Michael Martin, Jr., Austell, Michael Robinson, Conley; sister, Donna Johnson (Hardy); Parkland, FL; brother, Scott Martin (Cheryl), Newnan. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Vitas Hospice, 931 Rock Quarry Rd., Stockbridge, Ga. 30281. Thomas L. Scroggs Funeral Directors, Morrow in charge of arrangements. 770-961-2828.

I was saddened to learn of Mike's passing and wanted to post something on his special day today. Mike was kind enough to think of me and my family when my Father passed away many years ago. My sincere condolences to Mike's family. Another "Panther" with wings! Mike was a wonderful person in many ways and part of my life for a time. RIP, Mike.
