Family-Placed Death Notice
Celebration of Life for Mr. Michael Mims, of 3170 Forrest Park Road, Atlanta, GA, will be held Saturday, January 28, 2006, 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Atlanta Lighthouse, 1380 Boulevard S.E., Atlanta, GA, Bishop M. D. Spires, Pastor, officiating. Interment, South-view Cemetery. The family will receive friends TONIGHT in our chapel, 1315 Gus Thornhill, Jr. Drive, East Point, GA from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. He leaves to cherish his memory two sons: Mr. and Mrs. Michael Mims, Jr. (Felicia) and Jousha Mims; four step children; one brother, Roosevelt Mims; sister, Cathy Mims; one niece, Catisha Mims and a host of other relatives and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the residence at 10:00 A.M. Gus Thornhill's Funeral Home, Inc., (404) 768-2993-4.

Cathy, Connell and family, My deepest sympathy goes out to you all. I was very sad to hear of Michael's passing. My prayers and thoughts are with you all. Sorry I didn't make it to the funeral but at this time, it's hard for me to do funerals (with the passing of my Mom in October). Do know that I love you all and feel as though we (us from Jonesboro North during the 70's) are family. Call me if you feel the need to just get out of the house. Love Net :-)

My heart goes out to my family, at this time we lost a one of our own. Michael was not only my relative but also my friend. We need each other love and support to get us through our lost. God will take care of him, that I truly believe. May we find peace and cherish our sweet memories of Michael.
My heart goes out to Cathy, Cornell, Catisha, and his children.
He will be missed by all.
