It hurt so much that u left us but i have no more tears to shed fo u big bra. u see i kept my word bout running cross country lik u did and im going to graduate and do some great with my life just lik you would have did. Just wanted to say that I'm going to miss you sooooo much Nick. You were the nicest person I know.As much as I wish you were still here.I know that you're in a much better place.You looked so peaceful in your cap and gown at the funeral.I'm gonna be there for Nicole,your daddy,brothers,and kiah 100%. For most of the time that I attended S. Atlanta I only knew of Nick. I never thought that I would have a full on conversation with him, I guess because he was this like really cool seinor and all. Then, eventually we shared the same first period, and that was nice because he truly had this way of just making one smile. I just want to say that I really enjoyed every moment being in his presence. God bless you Nick as well as your family.

Comming up from middle school with you, your little brother, and cousins, i relaized that even though you are gone, you are never forgotten. The memories you have had are still with many of us today, heaven is your permanent home and god has called you home. To the family and friends; Nick is in a better place than what he was and his spirit is still looking down on us and is still with us everyday. To Nicole, Derrick, Derrico, Lil Derrick, and Charles, Nicholas have left a legacy of memories in this short time of his life. God makes no mistake on whom He chosen to bring into His kingdom. This child has been blessed from the womb, look at the impact he's making on his friends and family right now. I know you will miss him, but when you think about him, don't think about the suffering or what you could have done differently, this was Nick's destiny and we all have our own. We come to you, God because we know that you sorrow, and are acquainted with grief. You too have endured the loss of a child. You empathize.
We can’t help but ask, “Why?” Forgive our insistence, our confusion, even our anger. We believe that you are just, and we ache to understand how this tragic death is an expression of that justice, how it expresses your love. We also know – in our minds at least – that you seldom answer the “why?” question. We press you, but on these matters you are mostly silent.
What we ask instead is “how?” How can we move forward? How can this bring us together and not tear us apart? How can we now live under the shadow of this untimely death? Answer this prayer with your comfort and guidance.
There is no way to remove the pain. The grief is real. The only sanity is to know, to believe, in a life beyond with you, when all the scales are righted and the sufferings are made good. We trust you and your promise that while this child’s life on earth is done, his life beyond has just begun. With that release we lose him and let him go into your arms, then by faith receive in return the boundless comfort of your presence. That is all, that is enough. In Jesus.”

In 6th grade i never would've thought that this lil short dark boy with pretty long hair would have me so distraught at something like this. It still seem unreal cause of how happy-spirited you were, even when things went down hill. From all the love you recieve everyday, i just know you realize how loved you were and loved even more now. We are connected, My child and I, by an invisible cord not seen by the eye. Its not like the cord that connects us til birth this cord can't been seen by any on Earth. This cord does its work right from the start. It binds us together attached us together to my heart. I know that its there though no one can see the invisible cord from my child to me. The strengh of this cord is hard to describe It cant be describe it cant be destroyed it cant be denied. Its stronger than any cord Man could create it withstands the test can hold any weight. And though you are gone though you're not here with me The cord is still there But no one can see. It pulls at my heart I am bruised I am sore But this cord is my lifeline as never before. I am thankful that God connects us this way. A mother and child Death can't take it away.
