Family-Placed Death Notice

WORDEN, Peter PETER HALE WORDEN Peter Hale Worden, 67, of Alpharetta, passed away at home on June 29, 2008, after a graceful and courageous battle with declining health. He was born on October 4, 1940, to the late Doris Jones Worden and Irving Hale Worden of Pompton Plains, NJ. Peter graduated from Butler High School in New Jersey, The State University of New York in Farmingdale, with a degree in Mechanical Technology, and Newark College of Engineering, with a degree in Industrial Engineering. Peter was devoted to his work, which started in 1960, at Fairbanks Morse, then moved on to a long career with Jacuzzi Brothers from 1961-1982. He was President of ANI Pumps (which brought him to his beloved Atlanta), and finally President of Worden Sales Inc., where he was a manufacturer's agent and distributor, specializing in the engineered sales of centrifugal pumps, packaged pump stations, and pump parts, all serving the water, waste water, and storm water industries. Peter was also President of Word of Atlanta, Inc. Peter was a devoted and loving husband to his surviving wife, Diane, for 39 years. He is also survived by his sister, Susan Worden Rheiner, of Flourtown, PA, niece Heather Rheiner Bodami and her family of Washington, DC, and his beloved pets Cooper, Liza, Joe, BJ, and Tuscan. He will be sorely missed by close friends Jan and Michael, and Cathy and Henry. Peter also had a special love of cooking, gardening, and nature itself. He would spend much of the year enjoying his yard, pool, and BBQ's with friends. In celebration of Pete's life, a memorial gathering is planned at his home at 4:00 PM, July 12, 2008, for friends and family. In lieu of flowers, Diane has requested donations be made to Noah's Ark, 712 LG-Griffin Road, Locust Grove, GA 30248, in memory of Peter Worden. Cremation of Georgia (404) 355-7627

Mommy D,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Please know that my family and I will always be here for you.

Daddy P will surely be missed!

I will especially miss the elaborate cooking, financial advice and all the unselfish love that he had given my family and me. I thank him for embracing my family as his own. My children will always remember him as thier grandpa P. He is truly a very special person. We will miss him dearly.

Love,

Scott, Teresa, Kyle, Nicole and Mom
