One benefit of my time in the Navy was a 47-year friendship. I met Randy in January 1978 on the Cone. Randy was highly respected on the ship by enlisted and officers alike. He knew his job, he worked hard, and he could always be counted on to crack a joke at just the right time to ease a tense situation.
Going to miss my friend. The world is a lesser place without Randy.

Although we worked together for only a few months, "Cloke" was a key influencer of my Navy experience. It was a pleasure and an honor to serve with him in `78. Fair winds and following seas, shipmate. We have the watch.

We lost another great Sailor, was prould to know him. He served on a great ship. I was on the Cone in the early 50,s. This still makes us brothers and ship mates. Rest in peace.
