DIMERY, Ronald RONALD LEE DIMERY Ronald Lee Dimery, of Oxford, passed away Monday, November 18, 2013 at the age of 78. He met and married the love of his life, Dottie, at Florida State University and they were married 58 ½ years. Mr. Dimery was an accomplished residential and commercial architect winning multiple awards for historic preservation. He dearly loved his family and his country. A Boy Scout troop leader, he enjoyed being outdoors and was an adventurer extraordinaire. Mr. Dimery was an Oxford City Council member for many terms, a volunteer firefighter, MYF leader, and was very active in CSI and AIA. His hobbies were traveling to the beach and Kauai, camping, boating and gentleman farming. He was an avid Florida State fan and loved old cars. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Inez Dimery. Survivors include his beloved wife, Dottie Dimery of Oxford; daughter and son-in-law, Letha and Lex Betty of Ocala, FL; son; Stuart Dimery of Oxford; grandchildren, Sam, Josh, and Zach Betty, Matthew and David Dimery; 5 great-grandchildren; and many beloved friends and family. A Memorial Service for Mr. Dimery will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, November, 23, 2013 at Allen Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Max Vincent officiating.
