We worked together in the ER at Smyrna Hospital and was my MD for over 30 years.
Hard to imagine such a wonderful man is gone.
I know I wont be able to walk back thru his office doors.
Wish I had known about his memorial service !

The best doctor I've ever had. I referred several of my friends and family to him and I told them all that "if he can't fix it, then nobody can fix it." He will be missed tremendously for his great talent and personality. Prayers for his family's strength and endurance. My favorite doctor.

Dr. Kraus was an amazing doctor and I always enjoyed our banter during the 18+ years he took care of me. I am very sad to hear of his passing, I will surely miss him. My heart goes out to his family and friends. He would light up when he spoke of his family, his absolute love for them was so heartwarming. He was definitely one of a kind! They don't make great docs like him anymore.

It is with sad heart that I learned of Steve's
passing. He was both a trusted friend, colleague, and mentor as we worked together in a public health clinic in DeKalb Co./Atlanta in the 70's and again as dermatologists in Suwanee, Ga in the new millennium. A testimony to his exceptional skills as a physician was his expertise in patient care in both the Emergency Room and Dermatology offices concurrently. My sincere condolences to his extended family.

I am saddened at the loss of Steve. I was a colleague and friend of Steve's since 1993. We worked in Emergency Medicine at two different hospitals as partners. He was also my Dermatologist as well as my wife and children. He was kind, compassionate, hard working and dedicated. He was one of the smartest docs I have ever met and he always had a kind word for me and my family. The community has lost a great doctor and a great man. My condolences to his wife and family.

I was a patient of Dr. Kraus' for over ten years and was a constant referrer. His compounds solved a spot of eczema on the back of my neck for most of my life within 4 hours of application. A delightful spirit surrounded by a warm staff, Dr. Kraus will always be the best to ever do dermatology. I visited the office a few weeks ago and, it just felt different. Grateful to have been his patient. God's best to his family and friends.

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time. Steve was a classmate for 12 years at both St. Sebastian grade school and St. Vincent High School. We had many good times together. I often think of the day in 8th grade when we killed an ant on the floor between our desks. At recess we had a burial service by the playground! Oh such innocent times.Hope you share many happy memories as you celebrate his life. ( We have been foster parents to 83 little ones. We know how valuable each life is!)

As a long time patient of Dr. Kraus, I know he will be missed by his patients and staff. The practice will not be the same without him. It was clear his priority was the patient and for that he will always be remembered.
