Family-Placed Death Notice

Steven E. Whitman, age 55 of Eatonton, GA, formerly of Snellville, died February 2, 2004 at his home of cancer. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Gayle Moore Whitman; son, Steven Wright (Brewster) Whitman, Eatonton; son and daughter-in-law and grandson, Jason Moore Whitman and his wife, Vicki Whitman and their son, Brannon Moore (Mo) Whitman; daughter and son-in-law Brandi Gayle Porter and her husband, Jamey R. Porter, Loganville, GA; father, Buford E. Whitman, Lawrenceville; aunts, uncles and cousins. Steve was a U.S. Marine Corps Retired Vietnam veteran. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 5 at 2 p.m. at Sandy Springs Chapel. Morris Moore and Ed Snell officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Sandy Springs Chapel Funeral Directors, 136 Mt. Vernon Hwy. 404-255-8511.
