Peter von Brockdorff

Peter von Brockdorff was born Dec 25, 1935 in Hamburg, Germany. He was the son of Arnold Baron von Brockdorff and Helen Margaret Baronin von Brockdorff. He went to be with his Heavenly Father on Jan 23, 2014 at age 78.
Peter loved horses, cowboy life, and worked on a Montana dude ranch.  He graduated from New York State Agricultural and Technical College and Colorado State University.  His career included agricultural economics, real estate appraisal, and work on the Meadow Vista Tree Farm. He was a lay preacher at the Methodist church, and active in the Lions Club.
He is preceded in death by his father, Arnold Baron von Brockdorff, his mother, Helen Baronin von Brockdorff, and brother Hans.
Peter is survived by Jean, his wife of 32 years, daughters Ingrid (Eric) vB. Porter and Heidi (Greg) von Brockdorff, brothers Eric (Louise) von Brockdorff and Harold (Lillian) von Brockdorff, sister-in-law Sigrid von Brockdorff, aunt Barbara Hesse, three nephews, and cousins in the US and Germany.
A Celebration of Peter's Life will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Placer Hills Community Methodist Church, 17250 Placer Hills Road, Meadow Vista, with a potluck luncheon following the service.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Peter's church or the charity of your choice.
