Daniel Lee Cox, age 69 from Cato, N.Y., passed away on May 6, 2025 at his home in Raeford, N.C. with his wife Chris of 50 years by his side.

Danny was the beloved son of Charlotte. Father to Steph (Randy)(Russ), Denise (Swayne), Daniele and Joey (Shasta). He was Papa to Chip, Lilly (Christian), Haylee, Corey, Elijah, Sawyer, Gauge and Awstyn. Great Papa to Jensen, Celeste and Ireland.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marshall and daughter-in-law, Beth.

Danny worked as a welder for many years, he was well known for his custom welding jobs. He also worked at Crucible Steel Mill and drove truck.

He was passionate about NASCAR and loved a good game of horse shoes.

He will be remembered for teaching anyone who was willing or unwilling to learn manly things. He was always trying to teach the kids valuable life skills. He was the friendly neighborhood tool man.

A celebration of life will be held in July.

Danny will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew him.
