Frank William "Bill" Ruby

AUBURN - Frank 'Bill' William Ruby, 95, of Auburn, died Monday, Jan. 9, 2012 at Auburn Memorial Hospital. Frank was born in Auburn on Sept. 23, 1915, the son of the late Frank Joseph and Freida Kopp Ruby and had resided in Auburn all of his life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps having served four years. Frank was one of the original employees of Welch Allyn where he worked for more than 44 years. He enjoyed bowling for St. Luke's Church, spending time at the camp on Owasco Lake, and living life to its fullest. Surviving is a daughter, Sharman Ruby, of Auburn; son, Peter Ruby, of Auburn. In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by his wife, Rosamond Pine Ruby; a sister, Mildred Ruby Brunjes, a brother-in-law, Arnold Brunjes, and a nephew, Kenneth Brunjes. Friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012 . at the Brew Funeral Home, 48 South St., Auburn, with Dr. Guy Rathmell, officiating. Frank's family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will take place in the Lakeview Cemetery, Fleming.
