James Eldon Ruby

James E. Ruby, 65, of Saxton, PA, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026.
He was born on July 26, 1960, in Roaring Spring, PA, a son of Lester and the late Loretta (Figard) Ruby.
On July 28, 2017, in Saxton, PA, he married Renee Ruby.
James is survived by his wife, Renee Ruby; father, Lester Ruby; two sons, Philip J. Ruby and wife Brandy, and Joshua G. Ruby and wife Ashley, and their mother, Lisa Rhoat; a stepson, Adam J. Replogle and partner Danny Redding; two sisters, Barbara Childers and Vickie Mathes; eight grandchildren, Christopher, Skyler, Kera, Arianna, Alaya, Caleb, Genevieve, and Loretta Ruby; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins from Ohio, and their families.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in passing by a brother, Lester Merle Ruby.
James was a graduate from Tussey Mountain High School, Class of 1978.
He started working at Unocal 76 in Breezewood, and later pursued his career as a welder for many years until his retirement.
James enjoyed many things in life. Some of them were hunting, fishing, hotrods, cars, and classic trucks. He loved his grandkids dearly; spending time with family and friends meant the world to him.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 7:00 PM, in the Chapel at Donelson Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Layman and Chaplain Bruce Maxwell officiating.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 5:00 PM until the hour of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with final expenses.
