JoAnn was a dear friend and among the things we shared was a birthday and always exchanged cards on February 9th. She was a person you could depend on if you needed support of any kind and will be missed by all her BOCES friends from over the years. She was a dear friend.

Dear Colleen, Bob, and James, I am so sorry I didn't get to the Church Service at St. Alphonsus, I was just too sick. I prayed with your Mom almost every day, and when my time comes, I'll see her again. I miss her so much. I know how hard this is on all of you, and though your grieving is intense, just picture her in Heaven. (She'll liven things up there, and keep everyone happy and laughing! She was such a wonderful friend, and it must warm your heart that so many people love her. She certainly enriched my life. I'll have my daughter bring me over to the cemetery soon as I really wanted to go to the Church. I used to go to the cemetery with her when she put flowers on the grave, so I hope I can remember where it is! Again, I am so sorry for your loss. God be with you, James, and Bob. (and also you sweet Kitty that she would tell me about and show me pictures of.

I met Jo Anne several years ago at one of our gatherings. I instantly liked her and could tell by our conversations how much she loved her family! We talked almost daily on our "Word Chum" games, which she was very good at! It was a rare occasion that I could beat her!. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

Jo and I worked together at BOCES and I would call her our "program director" because she loved to plan outings to get everyone together to do something fun...she was a people person. She took a true interest in getting to know you and your family. For lunch, she would bring in extra to share...gosh she was a great cook. Years ago she gave me a recipe for hamburg soup that I still continue to make for my family. Generosity was her nature. She will be truly missed. To her family, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
