Penny R. Fay

WEEDSPORT | Penny R. Fay, 55, of Lockwood Avenue, Weedsport, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012 at Upstate University Hospital at Community General, Syracuse. Mrs. Fay was born Dec. 21, 1957 in Auburn. She was the daughter of the Rev Wesley Bogart of Auburn, and the late Joyce Bogart Pullen. She was a graduate of Skaneateles High School and had been employed with Key Bank at both the Auburn and Weedsport offices, for more than 30 years. At the time of her passing she was the assistant manager of the Weedsport location. Penny was active within the Weedsport community, and was serving as the president of the Weedsport Chamber of Commerce. She enjoyed camping and traveling, especially vacationing in Cancun, Mexico. Penny is survived by her husband of 15 years, George B. Fay Jr.; her father, the Rev. Wesley (Edie) Bogart, of Auburn; two sisters, Debbie (Gary) Saville, of Owasco, and Lisa (Tim) Corfield, of Elbridge; two step-daughters, Tamara (Jason) Craig, of Georgia, Lindsay Fay, of Washington; a stepson, Shaun Fay, of Auburn; four grandchildren, Jason, Andre, Elijah and Brian and in addition, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by a stepson, Chad Fay. Funeral services will be held Saturday at a time to be announced, in White Chapel Funeral Home, 2719 Erie Drive, Weedsport. Friends are invited to call on the family from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at White Chapel, Weedsport. Contributions in memory of Penny Fay may be made to either the Weedsport Chamber of Commerce or the Weedsport Fire Department.
