RED CREEK - Robert L. Smith, 72, of Red Creek, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024. He was born December 7, 1951, son of the late George Smith, and Barbara (Behm) Smith. Robert was a Cato Meridian graduate Class of 1971.
He was a farmer at his family's farm in the Town of Conquest. He loved farming, fishing, dancing, but most of all his family and grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his wife, Carol Banner Smith (1998).
Survived by his children: Carrie (Stan Gilmore) Smith of Red Creek, Craig Smith of Minoa; brothers: Bill (Diane) Matteson of FL, Ronnie (Lee) Smith of NC, Austin (Chris) Smith of Red Creek; sisters: Wanda (Jeff) Snow of Red Creek, Azenda (Ed) Bond of Throop, and Connie (Ed) Peddleton of Wolcott; grandchildren: Tyler Smith, Austin Stock, Dylan Stock, Zachary Smith, Addison Smith, Mackenzie Smith; great-grandchild, Colt Smith; as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Calling hours will be Saturday, 11:00 AM-2:00 PM, a service to follow at 2:00 PM at the Keysor-Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, Cato, burial will follow the service at Spring Lake Cemetery, Conquest.

What a person we have lost.... he was such an awesome guy- a man's man- the very best!!! And I will miss his *$417* eating grin he was so well known for- God bless him- we know he is now at rest- love him so very much and my awesome cousins- Carrie and Craig Smith-
