AUBURN - Steven J. Fritz passed away on Sunday at his home following a long illness with his wife, Patricia, at his side. He recently turned 63 years young.
Steven was born and raised in Weedsport and had made his home in Auburn. Following graduation from Weedsport High School, Steven started his career as a New York State corrections officer. After graduation from the academy, he started work in Ossining, N.Y., and later at Auburn Correctional Facility, where he proudly served for many years.
In addition to his parents, John and Amelia Fritz, he was predeceased by two sisters, Sandra Fritz and Karen Parker; his two sons of which he missed deeply, Baxter S. Fritz in 2011 and Paxton S. Fritz in 2017; and now has joined them all in the greatest kingdom of Heaven.
A simple man, Steven lived his life and is now at peace.
Per Steven's request, there will be no services and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
