I send Mr. Daggett's family all my prayers and comfort in their time of need. Personally, I live next door to the Daggetts' and was surprised to find out when Walt passed. I went to the Trinity United Church of Christ and sometimes Walt and Phyllus would drive me home or to church on occasions. Walt was an amazing and sweet person and we will all miss him. God bless his family and I will be praying for them.

Through the store, Mr. Daggett was part of the fabric of many people's lives, including ours. We enjoyed going in for a bite to eat or to pick up some small items, and even after we left the area we made a point of including lunch at Daggett's in our visits home. In our conversations over the years he never bragged to us about his accomplishments and contributions, so it's satisfying to see confirmed our impression of him as a thoroughly nice guy. His family can be proud of his life of service.
