William L. Clark

AUBURN/WEEDSPORT - William L. Clark, 89, of Auburn and Weedsport, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2024, at The Commons on St. Anthony. Born in Syracuse on October 19, 1934, William was the son of the late Stanley F. and Minnie (Sallada) Clark.
He proudly served in the United States Army from 1947-1954. William was a self-employed carpenter, owning and operating Clark Construction.
He worked on model trains and was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. William was a member of the Clark-Heck Post 568 in Weedsport.
William is survived by his loving wife, Rose Clark; his children: Kimberly (Arthur) Sandford, Peggy (Randy Cole) Hargis and Kevin Clark; his sister, Dixie DeShane; his grandchildren: Terry Clark, Stanley Clark, Austin Sandford, Colton Sandford, Abby Clark, Olivia Sandford, Charlene Canale, Clinton Cole, Felicia Cole, and Charles Cole.
In addition to his parents, William was predeceased by his siblings: Stanley Clark, Jr., Sally Davis, James Clark, John Clark, infant brother, Richard Clark, Jennie Manwaring, Barbara Kneeper and Linda Castle.
A calling hour for William will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 from 11:00 a.m.-Noon in White Chapel Funeral Home, 2719 Erie Drive, Weedsport NY. A memorial service will follow at noon in the funeral home. Friends are invited to join with the family following services at the American Legion in Port Byron. Bringing a dish to pass would be greatly appreciated by the family.
Donations in William's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Finger Lakes SPCA of CNY or the Weedsport Fire Department.
