I was very sorry to hear about Ms. McCain's passing. I will always remember her as a compassionate, caring individual. She taught me in high school and also served as my speech coach. We developed an unspoken bond and respect for each other. As an adult it was always good to see her and remember her encouraging words. The community will be at a loss without her. Regards to you all!

Ms. McCain will truly be missed by her Middle School Sunday School class. It is hard to put into words what her kind, gentle, faithful, and encouraging spirit meant to the students and teachers. LaSonya and Carol, I was truly saddened to hear about the loss of your mother. I know how much both of you adored her. There aren't any words that you haven't already heard that can take away the pain that you are currently feeling. But I pray that both of you will cleave to the Lord and let him heal your hearts. She was my favorite elementary teacher! Even through my adult years I would run into her at Wal-Mart or Kroger with that same smile on her face. You know, she always remembered my name... They don't make teachers like that anymore.

Heaven has gained an angel for sure. Mrs. McCain was my saving grace many times at Summerfield Elem. She made a HUGE impact on me as a person and my life. She always knew who I was any time she bumped into e in public, always hugged my neck. And any time she bumped into my mother, which was a lot, she always asked how I was doing. She was such a sweet lady, and will be missed by so many. My thoughts and prayers are with you all as you deal with your loss, but remember the person she was, and the angel she is now, and know that you will see her again.
