Callie Walker Obituary

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Golden Living Center-Augusta. Mrs. Callie M. Walker of Sumac Drive, wife of the late Mr. Willard Walker. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from Friendly Church Of God In Christ, 1115 Carrie Street, Augusta, GA, Elder Leroy James, Pastor~presiding and Reverend Clarence Brown, Eulogist. Interment will be in Gray's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 853 N. Liberty Street, Waynesboro, GA. The family will receive friends at the Mortuary this evening, April 29, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Walker was a native of Burke County, GA; she was the daughter of the late Albert White and late Aslene Moore White. She received her early education in the Burke County School System where she attended Waynesboro High School. At an early age she became a member of Grays Grove Baptist Church and later united with 15th Street Church Of God In Christ in Pompano Beach, FL. She later relocated to Augusta, GA where she resided with her late brother, James White and wife, Daisy White. She was preceded in death by three sisters; three brothers; one grandchild; and one sister-in-law. Survivors are an adopted daughter, Pauline Saidykhan; grandchildren, Nakia Cason, Jeremy Westbrook, Kiaira Cooper and Lee Cooper; great grandchild, Ka'yanna Cooper; sisters, Louise Sills and Queen Esther Sills Bradley; sister-in-law, Daisy L.
