LANGLEY, S.C. - Mr. Danny Gordon Chalker, Jr., age 23, of Langley, S.C., loving husband of Jessica M. Vazquez Chalker and son of Danny G. Chalker, Sr. and Peggy Jane Wahl Chalker, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 from injuries received in an auto accident. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his infant daughter, Madison Grace Chalker of the home; a sister, Amy Marie Chalker of Gloverville, S.C. and his grandmother, Evelyn Chalker of Dublin, Georgia; in-laws, Charles and Maria Moore of Langley, S.C. He was born in Dublin, Ga. but had been a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Local Union #399 and was employed by Intermec in Aiken, S.C. He graduated from Midland Valley High School in 2007. His family stated that he was a hard worker, a good husband and father, who really loved and adored his parents and granny. Yes, he shall be greatly missed by his family, friends and all whose lives he touched along the way; however death cannot destroy the precious memories they have of him, and he shall live on forever in their hearts. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Graniteville, S.C. at 3:00 PM with Rev. Gene Wilson officiating. The pallbearers will be Darrin Tanton, Jason Tanton, Cameron Gardner, Jerry Hall, Frankie Chalker and Zack Ford. Family and friends are asked to meet at the graveside by 2:45 PM the day of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials, in Danny s memory, be made to an account at SRP Credit Union that is being established to help raise and educate his infant daughter, Madison.
