I did not freguent the Post Office but when I did I always found Mrs. Stephens pleasant and helpful. If one can be as pleasant as she was while waiting on the public, surely she must have been a wonderful person to her church, family and friends. My condolences.

My thoughts and prayers are truly with you all. Mrs. Stephens will be missed. For years I would see her at the post office and the stores that I worked at in the area. She was always shopping for the grand-baby. If I ever had business in the post office, I would try to get into her line, by letting others pass. She was ALWAYS PLEASANT and PROFESSIONAL. She helped make sure I had my final business with the post office done the right way just prior to my move to Italy the end of June. I never would have imagined that would have been the last time that I would see her. I'm thankful that my last memory was a happy one where she and I shared a laugh together. I had never heard her sing before April 4, I think it was, where she sang at my cousin's wedding. She sung like an Angel, now she is One.

What a wonderful woman your mother, sister, grandmother was! I always felt a kinship with Geraldine, as we were both widows and we had granddaughters about the same age. She always had a smile and a warm word no matter how early or late you came into the postoffice. She will be truly missed by myself and everybody else in N. Augusta. I hope the thought of how much everybody loved her will bring some comfort over the next few weeks.

It was truly a shock to hear of your mom's passing. I will forever see her presence when I walk into the post office. She always looked beautiful and so put together and she was always cheerful. Once when my mother in law was nervous about needing help with her passport Ms Geraldine was so kind to her that even today when she talks about her trip she talks about her kindness in helping her and she only met her that one time. Your entire family will be in our prayers.

Geraldine was one of the sweetest ladies I have had the pleasure to know. She always greeted me - and everyone - with a smile, gave the very best of herself to those she served, and was a great help as she kept me in touch with the life of her church, First Providence Baptist. I am deeply saddened at her passing and pray for God's blessings and love for her family and loved ones in the days and weeks ahead.
