Norma Sanchez-Pardo Obituary

EVANS, Ga. - Norma Sanchez- Pardo, 56, wife of Julio Pardo, entered into rest on Saturday May 2, 2009 at Select Specialty Hospital of Augusta. A funeral service will be held at St. Peter and Paul Church in Hoboken, NJ with interment following in North Arlington, NJ. Mrs. Pardo was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, but spent the last 19 years of her life as a resident of Evans, GA. Mrs. Pardo was raised in New Jersey where she graduated from Hoboken High School and received a Bachelors Degree in psychiatric social work from Douglas College, part of Rutgers University. While in the Augusta area she worked with several agencies in the capacity of social worker including Domestic Violence counseling. Mrs. Pardo was of the Catholic faith and when health permitted, attended The Church of the Most Holy Trinity or St Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Amanda Pardo, her son Daniel Pardo, her brothers; Frank Sanchez, Angel Ocasio, Antonio Sanchez, her sisters, Maria Sanchez, Angelina Sanchez, Dalia Gonzalez, Daisy Carreras, Iris Sanchez. She was preceded in death by her father Eulogio Sanchez, her mother Francisca Sanchez, and a younger brother Thomas Sanchez. The family will receive friends on Wednesday May 6, 2009 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Platt's Funeral Home Belair Rd. Sign the guestbook at AugustaChronicle.com
