I called today looking to hear "Hey Stephanie" but instead I was informed of his passing. And even more disturbing he passed on my birthday. The last time I spoke with him was a few days prior to that and he was calling seeking help for a friend that was dear to him. And that was a success and he called me back to express how happy he was that his friend had been taken care of. I appreciate that last talk because he was doing an act of kindness for someone else. I met him during the last few months and held many interesting conversations with him. No person was a stranger to him. In each conversation we manage to have acquantances in common. He could to have written a books "The Six degrees of Pat Wiley". And knowing Mr. Wiley there is a manuscript somewhere among his belongs along with many other future plans. He will be missed. To his family you have my deepest sympathy.

We are very sorry to hear of Pat's death. He was a unique individual that always brought a smile to my face. When Pat was 17 and I was 13, we played at the "Patch" one day and he shot 63. To this day, that was one of the most amazing rounds of golf I have ever witnessed. The past few years, every Westside football or baseball game I went to, Pat seemed to be there watching one of his sons. In every conversation we had, he mentioned how proud he was of his boys. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
