Rhonda and family
I was just visiting the Aiken Standard Obituaries and ran across this. I am very sorry to hear this and truly wishing you all the comfort God can give. You have always been very close to us here in SC yet so far away. I have always remembered that very pretty smile of yours since we were very young. Since I have 4 children of my own, I can't imagine what you and your family must be going through. My heart goes out to you. May God bless you and your family.
Sincerely

Words cannot express the loss of a child. I wish I had known sooner I would have liked to come to the service. Rhonda you were pregnant with Corbit when you first did my hair. Richard over the past seven years I have seen your pain at the office. I am so sorry.

I have loved him since the day you told me you was pregnant with him. I will cherish every memory I have of him. All the summers, spring break, Christmas break, any excuse he could find to get to South Carolina with me and the boys. We had some amazing times together. My heart has a void. I know he is with our family in heaven. I will miss him so much.

I have welcomed Rhonda to the Ronald McDonald House for all the years Corbett was in the hospital. Rhonda, you are such a warm caring person. Corbett was well loved by his Mom and Dad. Rhonda always shared with us how Corbett was doing, but even in her darkest moments she asked how we were doing. Corbett is in heaven now and at peace waiting to see all of us someday.

ANOTHER CORBETT PICTURE
I had the privilege of knowing Rhonda and Richard when they built their new home at the beach and were pregnant with Corbett. I worked for Richard at the time and got the call that Rhonda was in labor. I went to the hospital that night to be part of the big event. I made my way to the nursery and saw this precious little baby. Within a moment or two I was joined by the proud father, who proclaimed that I had seen his son first. As a baby Corbett was always dressed in the finest Dior clothing and given nothing but the best, including the love of his doting parents. I left Village Jeweler after about a year but each time I would go back for a visit, the “CORBETT PICTURES” came out. It was a ritual to see pictures of Corbett as he was growing up; boating, camping and vacationing. I felt like I was reliving his birth all over again. Now I see a picture of a handsome young man and I will forever cherish my last Corbett picture.

It is weird to think back on all the many memories I shared with my Uncle. It goes from flipping the red wagon to going to water parks and the alligator farm. I will miss my Uncle Corbett, but I know he is out of pain and in a much better place. Thank you to everyone for the prayers and support of my family. God bless each and every one of you.
