APPLING, Ga. - Mrs. Sadie Saggus Pearson, 87, beloved wife of the late Mr. Harry L. Pearson, entered into rest on April 16, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Kiokee Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Hartman officiating. Burial will follow in Kiokee Baptist Church Cemetery. A native of Lincolnton, GA, Mrs. Pearson was retired after thirty plus years from Columbia County Tax Commissioner Office where she was a Property Tax Collector. She was a member of Kiokee Baptist Church. Mrs. Pearson loved working in her yard, walking and spending time with family. Survivors include her two daughters, Jan Hawkins (Wayne) and Joan Combs (John); one brother, Bob Saggus (Carol); two sisters, Virginia Aycock and Pat Phillips (Gene); four grandchildren, Lauren Reeves (Chris), Russell Hawkins (Hope), Elizabeth Wood (Scott) and Jonathon Combs (Megan); and five great-grandchildren. A special thanks to the staff of Madison Heights for the love and care for our mother.
