I first met Wally nearly 40 years ago when he was one of my regular bowling center patrons at Fort Gordon. He was a good sport and a fine officer. Only about 1 year ago I was teamed with Wally during our monthly Clembake golf event. I knew his wife had died and wondered if he would like to meet my widowed sister. He agreed. They enjoyed the next year being blessed by the other's company. I saw that my introduction was a good thing. My sister Carolyn and our family will truly miss the fine gentleman who left us too soon. We will renew our time in Heaven.

We were saddened to learn of Wally's death. He was a neighbor of mine on Edinburgh Drive before I remarried and moved to Johnston, SC. My husband, Henry, and I extend our deepest sympathy to the family. You will be in our thoughts and prayers in the difficult days ahead.

I'm Carolyn Moody's brother. I'm very sorry to hear about Wally. I never met him, but I thank God that he and Carolyn were with each other, even if for just a short time. The Lord has given, and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be His Name.

Each time I play mine & "Wally's" favorite song, "I'll Be Seeing You", will bring back cherished memories of a man I fell in love with & will always love. I love you today honey, as I shall love you for always.
