William Hamb Obituary
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at the American Legion Post 192, 275 Legion Drive, Evans, Ga. 30809 with the Reverend David Hunter officiating. Full Military Honors will be accorded.
Mr. Hamb was born in Dallas, Texas to Cora Maxine Hamb and the late Aaron Hamb. He was retired from the United States Navy having served two tours in Afghanistan. During his service, he was the recipient of numerous awards and medals including, the Purple Heart, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (3), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (2), Army Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4), Combat Action Ribbon and Joint Meritorious Unit Award.
Survivors include his wife, Misty D. Hamb; two sons, William Alex Hamb, II and Christopher Hamb; two daughters, Samantha McIntosh (Benjamin) and Katherine Rushton (Robert); three brothers, Denny Michael Hamb, Richard Allen Hamb (Christina) and Tory Shawn Morgan (Zu); two grandchildren, Kimberlee Hamb and Kamlyn Rushton; and his beloved dog Hank.
Memorials may be made to the Amyloidosis Foundation at www.amyloidosis.org.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
