Catherine Wheeler Obituary
Catherine was a member of the Class of 1988 of Oswego High School and went on to Western Illinois University, where she received a B.S. degree in Health Education and was presently working toward her M.S. degree.
Catherine is survived by her husband, Brian Wheeler, whom she married on March 28, 1998 in Oswego, IL; her loving sons, Thomas and Ryan, both at home; her parents, Thomas and Verna Muller of Montgomery, IL; a brother, Michael Muller of Chicago, IL; paternal grandparents, Clifford and Marie Muller of Lancaster, WI; and her in-laws, Paul and Sharon Garbelman of Wedron, IL.
She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Jeffrey Muller; and maternal grandparents, Henry and Wealthy Robinson.
Visitation will take place on Monday, June 16, 2008 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the McKEOWN-DUNN FUNERAL HOME, LTD & CREMATION SERVICES at 210 S Madison St in Oswego, IL. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at 11:00 AM, Lincoln Memorial Park on Rt 30 in Aurora, IL. Memorials may be directed to Catherine Wheeler Childrens Education Fund, c/o P O Box 665, Oswego, IL 60543-0665. For additional information, 630-554-3888.

Cathy...I am missing you already. I can't even completely fathom that you are really gone. You were a bright, funny, and a real down to earth person in life. You were always able to light up any room. I will forever miss our talks, our laughs & our tears.

Brian and family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My heart goes out to you and your sons in this time. I hadn't seen or talked to Cathy in probably 20 years but I knew her in our teens years and I will always remember her fondly. She was crazy fun and such a sweet person. I'll bet she was a great wife and mother. I am sure she is missed by all who knew her. God bless you in this tragic time.

I am so very sorry for your loss...I was on the OHS track team with Cathy and have such great memories of our fun together. I still have my photo albums of when we went downstate for track and I look back and laugh at all the goofy pictures. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all...

It seems the past 11 years have flown by. Getting married, having children. New homes, job changes. Our friendship is so greatly missed. "Coffee Talk" will never be quite the same. I will always be here for the boys. CAT-MIN-DU ! Love you babe.

Cathy ~ you will really be missed...
Cathy was an exceptional human being. She excelled at anything she put her mind to and all with the most cheerful attitude!! I am honored to have grown up with her year after year. Very dear to me is that we had just reconnected with each other the past couple of years
and we were both very happy to have done so :) Brian, I am one of the few (of whom we grew up with) who also live out amongst the corn -we are there for you and Ryan and Tommy. I will contact you. Cathy ~ I love you and I take comfort that you are with God.

I KNEW CAT FROM NICOR AND EVEN AFTER SHE LEFT WE'D STILL TALK EVERY ONCE IN AWHILE. CAT WAS "GOOD PEOPLE" AND SO MUCH FUN. I had the honor of training Cat at Nicor and worked with her for a period of time. Her smile and sense of humor were infectious. There are no words to describe the sorrow and horror of this tragedy. Peace, love and comfort to all her family and friends who are left to carry on without her.

I met Cathy at many Pre_K events. My daughter (Anna Cox) was in Ryan's class this year and Tommy's class last year. She made me feel very welcome being a "New Mom"! I will miss her dearly. She was a great person. Please hug the boys for us and let them know they are not alone. We will pray for them daily.

I first met "Cat" when she worked at Nicor in the Highland office. Her beautiful smile always lit up whenever she saw any of her friends. I feel very honored & grateful for having the opportunity of knowing her. She will truly be missed!

Cathy was a true childhood sister who really kept our secrets forever. My life was touched by her and her magical ways for years. Cathy was the best in everything she did and being my friend was no exception. Childhood memories are flouded with her prescence. I love the Muller family, and i miss Cathy.

I remember Cathy as a little girl, just about the age of her boys. She was sweet and funny and had the most infectious laugh. She lived across the lake from my children who grew up with her. I never had the opportunity to know her husband and children but I do remember her parents Tom and Verna. My prayers are with you all. I know you will have some great memories of your daughter, wife and friend to share with her boys.
