David Weisner Obituary

David P. Weisner Age 70 of Aurora passed away Saturday, October 2, 2010 at his home. He was born October 27, 1939 in Chicago, IL the only child of the late Jack and Margaret (Richie) Weisner. Dave grew up on Aurora's east side and played football at East Aurora High School. After graduating, Dave joined the U.S. Navy and served aboard the USS Canberra. Returning to Aurora, he began his nearly 50 years in the automotive sales industry, earning the respect and friendship of his many loyal customers. Dave owned and operated Dave Weisner Buick-Pontiac in Sandwich for many years. He has been employed for the last 16 years as a salesman with Gartner Hyundai Saab in Aurora. Dave liked to travel and was able to visit many interesting places. In the past, his little dog Alfie had been a loyal and trustworthy companion to him for many years. David is survived by his son, Michael (Carol) Weisner of Las Vegas, NV. He leaves behind many friends in the Fox Valley area; Mike and Carol wish to thank them for the love and support given to Mike's father over these past years. Dave will be dearly missed by many. In keeping with David's wishes, private services have been held. Arrangements were handled by The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Place, Aurora, IL. I had the pleasure of working with Dave at Gartner Hyundai for nearly 10 years. We all miss him dearly. The used car department just isn't the same without seeing Dave there. My condolences to his family.
