Nick and I Dancing
Elaine Golich
January 22, 2015
Nickolas Golich was my husband, and he couldn't be a sweeter, loving and wonderful man. We had only been married 16 years when he died, but those were the best 16 years of my life. He never had a bad word to say of anyone. He loved everybody and everyone loved him. He always had his beautiful smile, with his great dimples and eyes. He changed me from a shy, introverted woman to an outgoing one. He said "I created a monster" We met at a singles dance in West Chicago Country Club, and we never stopped dancing until he broke his upper leg in two places in 2011. We still would go to a few dances, and we would be sure he had a chair handy to sit down. He never complained, even though he lived through losing an eye, shoulder surgery, and the latest his broken leg, which made him disabled. He still took me out to dinner at least once a week, and took care of me last year when I had a bad muscle disease, which left me bedridden for over 3 months. He was my "Saint Nick" and I will never forget him. How can you forget someone so great? I still let people hurt my feelings, and he would always say "let it go, it's over". That is the way he lived his life, and you could never find another person like him. I had to watch out as I always bragged about him to my friends, and other women, because they would have liked to have a man just like him. Goodbye, Sweetheart. See you later.

For many years, if you lived in North Aurora as we did, we all remember Nick and his friendly smile. The Golich children went to school with ours and they are all so much part of North Aurora. To all of the Golich family, you were all blessed to have such a caring mom and dad, may he rest in peace, I will always think of him with a smile. Thinking of all of you at this difficult time
