Ruby Borneman Obituary

Ruby F. Borneman, age 85, passed away Monday morning, October 15, 2007 at Hillside Nursing Home in Yorkville after a long battle with Alzheimers disease.

Ruby graduated from Marengo High School and went on to graduate from Copley Hospital School of Nursing in 1953. As a registered nurse, she met her husband, Wayne Borneman and they were united in marriage on March 13, 1954 in Epsworth Methodist Church in Elgin, IL. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Yorkville where she was an Altar Guild member and taught Sunday School for many years. Ruby enjoyed teaching and loved her students.

Ruby is survived by her husband of 53 years, Wayne; son, Steve and his wife, Kim; their children, Jackie (Shawn) Cotton, Bob, (Alisa) Borneman, Jamie and Mallory; daughter, Beverly Gauer and her children, Bud (Jessica), Michael (Fiancee, Brooke Bugbee), Randy, Jeremy, and Justin; and first great-grandchild due in December. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Betty and Judy Kugler from Marengo, IL; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Minno Halma from Woodstock, IL; as well as many extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lizzy Kugler; three brothers, Lawrence, Roger, and Lowell Kugler; niece, Annie Kugler; and infant daughter, Elizabeth Ethel Borneman.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 10104 Immanuel Rd., Yorkville, IL, with Pastor Dorothy Wilcox officiating. Internment will take place in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Yorkville, IL.

Friends may visit from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 E. Countryside Pkwy, Yorkville, IL.
