Thomas Skilling Obituary

Thomas E. Skilling, 83, of Sugar Grove, IL, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2006 at Michealsen Health Care Center in Batavia. Thomas was born May 17, 1923 in New Kensingston, PA, the son of Thomas E. and Alta (nee Foreinger) Skilling. Thomas was united in marriage to Betty Clarke January 27, 1951 in Pittsburgh, PA.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; three sons, Tom, Jeff (Rebecca), and Mark (Sukran); a daughter, Sue (Jeff) Erickson; four grandchildren, Kristen, Jeffrey, John Taylor, and Aysesu.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Dave.

All funeral services were held privately.

Funeral services were arranged by Moss Family Funeral Home, 630-879-7900.

I met Mr. Skilling thru the American Merchant Marines-Midwest Chapter that my late Dad & he helped found. He was very proud of his service in the Merchant Marines. My Mother is still the Log Lady for that group.
He was one of the nicest men you'd ever care to meet & will be sorely missed.
