I really enjoyed my times with Joe -- such an interesting and fun guy, with a joyful family, lots of laughs. He will be missed, but we're grateful for the wonderful spiritual qualities he continues to express.

Sending loving thoughts and prayers to you all. Especially Karylynne. May she feel the comfort of his spirit and be held.

My oldest living first cousin, Joe embraced his Native American roots late, but was a higher degree of blood than the rest of us-Cherokee from his mother and Choctaw from his Dad, Ober Allen Shannon. I found him wonderfully comfortable with himself. It is my distinct honor to call him family. From his youngest living Shannon cousin, Kelly Shannon
