LeRoy CASE Obituary

March 11, 1950 - May 16, 2023
Mesa - LeRoy Edward Case Jr., 73, known by most who loved him as "Ed", unexpectedly passed away on May 16, 2023 in his home as the result of a heart attack.
Ed was born on March 11, 1950 to parents LeRoy and LaVonne Case in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ed attended multiple high schools before graduating from Olympus High School in 1968. After graduation he joined the United States Air Force (1968-1972) where he was stationed at Edwards Air Force base and met his beautiful bride to be Terry Davis. It was love at first sight and six months later the two were married. Only a few months after being married he was deployed to Vietnam serving a full one-year tour of duty. He returned home from Vietnam in 1971 and was stationed in Indian Springs, Nev. for the remainder of his enlistment. One month prior to his discharge date, Ed was blessed with his first child Lonnie Joanne Case. He completed his Air Force enlistment in 1972 and was honorably dis- charged. Ed and Terry moved to Palmdale, Calif. where he attended Antelope Valley Community College for air-conditioning technician training. In 1973, he was offered a job at the Federal Aviation Administration where he began his 34 year career. In 1974, he was blessed again with a second child Kelly Marie Case and in 1977, his family was complete with the arrival of his third child Bryce Edward Case. During his career, Ed worked his way through the ranks at the FAA becoming a technical support specialist who was respected and admired by all who had the pleasure of working with him. In 2007, he decided to hang up his hat at the FAA and retire with his wife Terry while living in Lancaster, Calif. In 2017, they moved to Gilbert, Ariz. where they lived for three years before finally settling into their forever home that they built together in Mesa, Ariz.
Through his life he was devoted to his wife, raising his kids and providing for his family. He enjoyed boating, fishing, golfing, working on his truck and most of all loved going on field trips with his "Road Dog" and furry best friend Crystal. Nothing was more important to him than his family. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
LeRoy "Ed" Edward Case Jr. is survived by his lifelong companion, best friend and wife of 53 years Terry Case. He is also survived by his mom LaVonne DeHeart, his children Lonnie Joanne Tapp, Kelly Marie and Justin Tyler Graves, Bryce Edward and Kristin Lynn Case and his grandchildren Talia Marie Andrus, Lauren Michele Tapp, Todd Edward Graves, Morgan Nicole Tapp, Nathan Edward Case, Michael Ryan Tapp and Miranda Lynn Case.
Ed was preceded in death by his father LeRoy Edward Case, Sr., his brother, Robert Lynn Case, and his son-in-law, Gregory Keith Tapp.
A private celebration of life will be held for Ed at his home with his immediate family. Ed continually supported the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital throughout his life. He had a special spot in his heart for help-ng sick children and always donated to the hospital.
