Melonee Murray Obituary

Melonee Ann (Kline) Murray, 61. What time certainly teaches us is to stop and smell the roses, and Melonee abided by that understanding. She passed peacefully into Jesus' arms on Thursday, August 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at home, after bravely battling a near-lifetime of illness. Melonee was born on September 4, 1963, in Sedalia, MO. Her parents Gloria F. (Tuffing) Kline and Larry C. Kline later moved to Lancaster, CA, where Melonee spent most of her beautiful life. As a teenager, Melonee served as flag captain in band at Antelope Valley High School, earning many awards. During this incredible time in her life, she found her best friend, true love and life partner. The role she longed for the most was to be a mother, and God gifted her with three children. She is survived by her wonderful family, both by marriage and by blood. Her immediate family includes her husband of 41 years, John Murray and their three children: Hannah, Liam and Christabelle Murray. Her immediate family honored her in a private ceremony, holding her memory close, and are deeply grateful for the heartfelt love and sympathy shared by so many. While she is best known for being a loving wife, mother, and friend, she was also an exceptional crafter, a faithful encourager, and a bright ray of light to everyone who met her. Though we are deeply saddened to lose such a beautiful soul, we are comforted knowing she is now shimmering in heaven's glory, dancing for the first time in decades fully healed by Jesus Christ. Time beckons one to introspectively ask: What gives life meaning? Melonee would say, love. Her life teaches us that, despite our sufferings, love withstands the test of time. So when you stumble across roses, pause and reflect on the beautiful life of Melonee. Every day is a gift, and that is why we call it the present.
