Vivian Baker Obituary

May 29, 1932-July 22, 2022
Palmdale - Vivian Izzo Baker, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great- and great-great - grandmother passed away peacefully into her heavenly home on July 22, 2022 at 90 years of age in Palmdale, Calif. Vivian earned her RN degree at Christ Hospital School of Nursing in Cincinnati, Ohio and her BA and master of science in Health Care Management degrees in California. Vivian was a director of critical care at Lancaster Community Hospital and in later years, a hospice nurse.
Vivian dedicated her life to nursing and serving others, working until age 85. With her infectious smile and laughter, she lit up the room and was a joy to be around. In her free time, Vivian loved to sew, scrapbook and travel and was also a director in Mary Kay Cosmetics.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husbands John Izzo and Keith Baker. Vivian leaves behind her four children: Dennis Izzo, Steven Izzo, Linda Izzo and Angela Izzo Sandoval, four grandchildren and numerous great-, great-great-grandchildren. Also grieving her passing are her brother Harvey Roehling and sisters Janice Grant and Peggy Genung.
Vivian was dearly loved and cherished and will be greatly missed.

To Dear Vivian´s Family, How I have missed Vivian since moving out of state! I met her as a fellow hospice nurse and had the privilege of keeping Keith comfortable on his last night. Oh, how I marveled at her constant smile, gentle spirit and creativity.
We enjoyed scrap booking together and lunch with our mutual friends. The Lord must be well pleased with Vivian´s service here on earth! Looking forward to seeing you again!

Rest in paradise Vivian

Vivian was my director when I worked in Critical care. She demonstrated professionalism in all she did. She had to deal with strong personalities in ICU and she did so while maintaining patience, kindness, wisdom, and self-control. Her smile could light up any room. She was a patient in the ICU when moving day came with the opening of PRMC. We wanted to honor her that day by having her be the first patient not only in the ICU but for the whole hospital. She giggled and cried with such a humble spirit. Rest In Peace faithful servant.
With much respect,
Diane Morrow
