Aaron Hecht, 83, of Peoria, AZ (formerly of Scottsdale, AZ and Bronx, NY), retired auto/truck salesman, passed away on January 24, 2006. Aaron was born in the Bronx, NY, to Morris and Helen Hecht. Aaron is survived by his second wife Alice: son Ronald Hecht of Prescott Valley, AZ and Gerald G. Aaron enjoyed visiting Las Vegas, checking out the Black Jack tables. Baseball was his favorite sport. Aaron earned a try out with the Brooklyn Dodgers in the late 1930's. Most interesting, was his desire to read about World War II. Aaron served as a flight instructor in the Army Air Corp (renamed United States Air Force) during World War II. His service took him from Casper, WY to the front lines in Europe. After his return to the Unites States (NYC) in 1945, he met and married his first wife Antonina Lee Marino. After a few years, they moved to Albany, NY. In 1961, Aaron moved his family to Scottsdale, AZ. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm on Friday at Green Acres Chapel of Light, 401 N Hayden Road, Scottsdale. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Hospice of Arizona.
