Kathy, I am so sorry to hear the news. I worked as a computer programmer at the Department of Labor for 37 years and was friends with Al for a long time. He established a group of white water canoeing enthusiasts there named The Deep Six. I was proud to be a member of that group. We (Al, Jim Tansey, Dave Berard, Mike Monet, Phil and I )
pooled together the money to buy 3 small canoes and went canoeing occasionally in the Sacandaga area. I eventually bought my own Coleman canoe and canoed often after that. I also played tennis often with Al. He was quite a character! He always wanted to win! My wife Kathy knew you and Al also and sends her condolences. Al was one of the few people at DOL that was a true friend. I also can relate to him as I have had cancer 7
times now, and have been a life long NY Yankees fan. I will miss him.

We had the opportunity to share the grandparenting of the twins, Samantha and Delilah, with Allan and Kathy these last 5 years. I am sure that Jennifer and Josh appreciated the effort you both made to be a part of the twins life. Allan will be remembered through them for many years. Sorry for your lose. We all enjoyed getting to know the two of you over the years at holidays, kids birthdays and school events. Allan will surely be missed, but remembered fondly.
