Anthony Zingale Obituary

Anthony "Tony" Zingale, gracefully passed away on July 16, 2008 in
Phoenix, Arizona in the loving presence of his family. Tony, born February 3, 1926, was a proud Italian-American who grew up in Cleveland, Ohio before leaving to serve his country during
World War II in the Pacific Fleet. After his service, Tony returned to Cleveland to marry Jean Horvath and to start his family. In 1966, he moved his family to western New York and settled in the lakeside community of Bemus Point, a place he loved and called home for 38 years. During his time in Bemus Point, Tony worked for the City of Jamestown and started AZ Waste, Inc., where he worked with his wife and children. After a successful career, Tony retired in 1988. He enjoyed his early years of retirement remodeling cars and spending time with his family. In 2003, he moved to Phoenix, Arizona to be with his family. Tony was a caring son and was preceded in death by his parents Josephine and Joseph. Tony is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Jean, his three sisters, Grace, Frances, and Nancy, his children, Joseph, Jeannie, Mark, and Rick, their spouses, Vicki, Patrick, Lisa, and Teresa, and his nine grandchildren, Connor, Michael, Jackie, Kevin, Scott, Kimberly, Allison, Anthony and David. Tony left this world with the comfort and compassion of his family by his side. His love and devotion to his family will be greatly missed and forever remembered. Ciao Tony! We love you! A viewing will be held from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, 2008 at Queen of Heaven Mortuary. A funeral mass will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday July 21, 2008 at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, in Mesa, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, Tony's family requests that donations be made in his memory to Hospice of the Valley (Phoenix, AZ), the American Cancer Society, or the American Alzheimer's Society.

Uncle Tony,

I will miss you so much. Even though we didn't see each other very often, when we did, it was like we just saw each other yesterday.

You will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives you touched!

I will always remember the discussions and good times we had when visiting in Bemus Point, NY. You were a fabulous uncle and I will miss you so much. I love you uncle Tony, but I know you are with God now and happy forever with Him. You watch over your family and the little ones...Keep them close.
