Just came across Barb's obit. What a loss to ASU and everyone who ever met her.
She was a gem who made everyone feel at home from the moment you walked into the ASASU offices.
I first met her when I was a freshman at ASU in 1976 and walked into the offices on the second floor of the MU. They could not get rid of me for the next 7 years and Barb was a big part of the reason I loved ASASU.
We all miss you.

My dear Salem, I am happy to have met Aunt Barbara. I remember going to her house with you on our road trip to Arizona. I think we all went out to lunch together and I know she loved you so much. I'm thankful for my memory of her. Love you, Jen

Barbara was such a joy. One of God's beautiful people. She made such an impact on hundreds of students that passed through ASASU when we attended Arizona State University. She loved everyone and i was blessed to continue our friendship past my college years and into her retirement. A few of us would drop in on her every couple years when we returned back to Arizona and even in retirement she was so interested in all that was going on with us and in the world. We exchanged Christmas cards for a few decades and just last month I was grateful to receive an update on Barbara from her lovely niece. Thank you for keeping us informed of her progress. As much as I would have loved to be there today to share in Barbara's life celebration, I cannot, but I know that my friends will give an update. Know that Barb was such an important part in so many people's lives and really made them appreciate all people no matter if they were the University president or the Receptionist. That role in our early lives made many of us better people. Love you Barb, may you Rest in Peace.
