Bryan Hall Obituary

Bryan Andrew Hall, 19, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 13, 2008, of heart failure. He was born in Mesa, Arizona, on July 28, 1988, and graduated in 2006 from Mountain View High School. Andrew loved outdoor sports, cooking for his family, and his truck. Andrew battled Cystic Fibrosis and was blessed with a lung transplant in 2007, a miracle that lengthened his life and gave him the opportunity to experience life in ways he was not able to before. Andrew put his new lungs to good use by participating in a half marathon, raising money for HopeKids, an organization he benefited from greatly. Even though his time on earth was short, he was able to travel to many places and influence many people. He is survived by his parents, Bill and Jennifer Hall; siblings Geri (Dan and Hollyn) Broadbent and Jonathan (Malorie) Hall; his two grandfathers, Benner A. Hall and B. Allen Bunker; and countless loving extended family members and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2008, at the LDS church, 1266 S. 32nd St., Mesa, Arizona. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, July 17, from 6-8 p.m. at Bunker Family Funeral Homes Garden Chapel, 33 N. Centennial Way, Mesa, and from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church on Friday. Donations can be made in Andrew's name to HopeKids, an organization that benefits terminally ill children, by contacting 602-843-HOPE or visiting www.hopekids.org or donations may be sent to the Bryan Andrew Hall Memorial Fund, Bank of America, c/o Bunker's Garden Chapel, 33 N. Centennial Way, Mesa, AZ 85201.

Jennifer and Bill,

We know how blessed you were to have the privilege of having Andrew in your home. He was a great example of faith and courage to us all. Now that he has been called on a different mission, we know that he is anxiously awaiting the time when your family will be reunited. The strengh that you exhibited throughout his life will carry you through this difficult time. Our prayers are with you.

Jennifer,
I know your hearts are breaking. I wish you strength to endure the loss of Andrew. He was one of my son Wesley's friends. He just helped us celebrate one of my sons Birthday in Feb. I didn't know he was your son until Wes brought home the program of his service, and saw your picture. God Bless you and your family.

We were so sad to hear of Andrew . We were out of town and missed his funeral. We heard it was a beautiful celebration of his life. What a courageous battle you all fought so long and hard . No one will ever know the emotional roller coaster you have all been riding for the past 19 years. Because of your great faith I know that you will both be fine but I also know there will be many sad days to get through. It is not an indication of any lack of faith but more evidence of how sweet Andrews life was. All your wonderful memories are just a precursor to even better things yet to be. We send you all our prayers and love

Bill, Jennifer & Family,
Sincere condolences in the passing of Andrew. I have fond memories of Andrew out by the pool when he was younger, while you, Jennifer, were giving our children swim lessons. I know Andrew's illness was always a worry for you. I am so glad you were blessed with the gift of his earthly presence for as long as you have. I was happy to read that his transplant allowed him to experience more of life. Thank goodness for the knowledge we have in the gospel. Famlies are Forever. You are in our thoughts & prayers.

My heart goes out to your family for the days ahead. It is so hard for a long time but you will heal and have such sweet memories. I hope he is up there getting to know Herm. I know Herm will seek him out because he loved you so much. I think Herm is probably up there straightening out this genealogy mess so maybe he will need a fresh young mind to help with the job. You are a wonderful family and together forever.

Jennifer & family, I was deeply saddened to hear of your loss of your dear son Andrew. I only learned of his passing when you wrote he had passed a day after Keith. It is so difficult to lose a loved one, especially a son. I know you and your family fought hard for him to give him every chance at life. He sounded like an incredible young man. I do understand the comfort you feel that he is no longer in pain, all the pills and long hospital stays. My deepest sympathy for you and your family. Our love to all of you.

Bill and Jennifer,

We extend our deepest sympathies to you in the passing of Bryan. Our lives are better for seeing Bryan so courageously and with such excitement, enjoy his life in the kitchen at Seven Canyons.

Bryan won our hearts as we watched him assist Chef Dan with his such zeal. His will to live and his deep desire for learning all he could about cooking touched our hearts.

We will not forget Bryan, his personality and his love of life. He gave us so much to remember him by. We will be praying for you both and your family during this time.

I remember meeting B. Andrew when he was 3 years old. It was early in the morning at the hospital and I was there to give him his breathing treatment. He was scared but we managed to get his treatment done!!!! Who would of known that was the beginning of a wonderul friendship not only with B. Andrew but with his parents Jennifer and Bill. Over the years, I watched Andrew grow as he fought his battle with cystic fibrosis. Sometimes, I would go to his house and help do his "pounding" treatments to help out Jennifer and Bill. During those times, we would have some nice little talks. And I loved his shy little smile. And when I saw him after he got a new set a lungs, I was so happy for him. He was able to do a half a marathon! What a wonderful experience after what he had been through most of his young life. Now he is with his Heavenly Father and he will be looking down on us on Earth with that shy little smile that I remember so well. I will miss you B. Andrew.
Love, Cathy your friend and respiratory therapist !!!!
