Dr. Burris D. Tiffany

Dr. Burris D. Tiffany, age 82, of High Springs, Florida and formerly of Phoenix, passed away October 26, 2003 in High Springs. Dr. Tiffany was born in Kansas City, MO on December 6, 1920 the son of Guy Roice Tiffany & Gladys (Chaney) Tiffany. He was employed by the Upjohn Co. (now Pfizer) in Kalamazoo, Michigan as a Chemist for 31 years, retiring in 1982. He spent most of his retirement in the Phoenix area. Burns had a passion for learning and enjoyed music, photography, electronics and the outdoors. On May 22, 1954, he married Mildred W. Wesner who preceded him in death on Nov. 17, 1992. He was also preceded in death by his brother Elmer Tiffany. Surviving are three children and spouses, Frederick Tiffany and Anne Kenney of Springfield, OH, David & Linda Tiffany of High Springs, FL and Rebekah & Dean Clark of Phoenix, AZ; eight grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Services and entombment will be in Kalamazoo, Ml on Monday, Nov. 3. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Nature Conservancy.
