R.J. Dawe, 24, passed away May 5, 2011. He was born December 17, 1986 in Phoenix, AZ, the son of Grady and Sarah Dawe. He attended Cave Creek schools and graduated from Cactus Shadows in 2005. After high school he began working for the family business Mexi Tile Natural Stone and Anasazi Stone. R.J. had a love and passion for riding dirt bikes since he was a little kid. R.J. and his sister Courtney Dawe were best of friends. They loved to go snowboarding in the winters together and on family trips. He was someone who touched our hearts every second of the day. R.J. had a magnetic personality that brightened any room he entered. He was a loyal friend and protective older brother. R.J. will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He leaves behind his parents, Grady and Sarah Dawe, of Scottsdale and his sister, Courtney Dawe. He also leaves his paternal grandmother, Millie Skousen, also of Scottsdale; and his maternal grandparents John Mitchell of Phoenix and Valerie Morse of Deland, Fl. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Stacy and several aunts, uncles and cousins. A special memorial service is planned for Thursday, May 12, 6:30 p.m. at Grayhawk Golf Club for anyone wishing to celebrate R.J.'s life and to remember how he touched their lives. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Chandler Valley Hope, P.O. Box 1839, Chandler AZ 85225. Arrangements are made by Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary.
