Charles Horning Obituary

Charles Lamb Horning, 86, of Grand Canyon, AZ was born and raised in Quincy, Illinois, passed away June 10, 2005. He was a man of honesty, integrity, love and laughter. He served our Country proudly with the 101st Airborne in WWII. He is survived by wife, Edith Lenore Horning of Phoenix, AZ, Sons James Carl Horning of Grand Canyon, AZ, Michael George Horning of Santa Fe, NM, Patrick Nash Horning (Lisa Riedel) of Page, AZ; granddaughters, Megan Marie and Judith Horning of Page, AZ; sisters, Martha Baecker of Monroe City, MO, Janice Courtney, of Phoenix, Betty Bowen of Phoenix and Joy Callahan of Palatine, IL. Charles was preceded in death by his parents Opal and George Horning of Quincy, IL. Walk in Beauty. We will miss you. Visitation will be from noon to 2:00 P.M. with the funeral service at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. A Graveside service will be held at 1:00P.M. Saturday, June 18, 2005 at Grand Canyon National Park Cemetery, Grand Canyon, AZ.
