Phoenix - Christa Marie Ewing, loving mother, grandmother and daughter, passed away on April 19th, 2018, with her children and family surrounding her. She wrote these words a few days before her passing: "I am grateful to God, that he gave me time to say good bye to all those people I love. I know no one, who God gave so much to be grateful for, as he did me. I first learned that I had cancer in 2013. It reoccurred in 2016 and I moved in with my son Justin, his wife Lauren, and three of my grandchildren. They along with my son Paul, spent time caring for me, laughing and loving each other. This time was worth more than they know. I was born on December 1959 in Oil City Pennsylvania to my wonderful parents, Nancy and Harold, and two brothers, Randy and Todd. My parents gave me the gift of Christianity. They brought me to Phoenix where I met, Paul Johnson, the father of my two children, Justin and Paul. They gave me four wonderful grandchildren, Riley, Cohen, Cooper and Summer. I lived an incredible life. I was able to travel, I was First Lady of Phoenix, I saw wonderful things around the world. But more than anything else, I felt the joy of being a mother and being able to hold the hands of my grandchildren. I pray to God, they live a life as happy as mine."
