Although I had never met Chris, I am a friend of his Aunt Laurie. I know of him from her. My heart goes out to the whole family during this time of sorrow. Why some people's time is sooner than later is one of the mysteries of the universe that we struggle with. He is at peace with God. My thoughts and prayers go out to you all.

My sympathies to Chris' mom Alice and his dad Pete Angelle. Alice raised a fine young man who would have been a credit to his country as he pursued his chosen military career. May God's grace shine on both the Jahneke family and the Angelle family as they mourn the loss of a beloved son and grandson.

Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

Please accept my family's sincere condolences. Chris was an amazing man. He did PT with my son at the Army Recruiting Station every week. My son tells me he never saw anyone so dedicated to being a soldier. Max admired Chris so much - he'd come home and tell me all about how hard Chris was working and the progress he was making and what a great guy he was. Thank you, Mrs. Jahneke for raising such a wonderful man. He will always be remembered in our hearts.
